Branch: Cambridge
What we are all about:
Giltrap AgriZone (GAZ) is one of New Zealand’s largest agricultural machinery dealerships but is still a privately owned and operated family business. We’ve continued to grow because we care about and understand what farmers and rural contractors need, and we have a very strong commitment to customer service and finding quality solutions. We specialise in servicing the brands we sell, including Case IH, New Holland, Giltrap Engineering, Manitou, Hustler to name a few.
What we are looking for:
Do you enjoy working outdoors, take pride in keeping things organised, and have an interest in tractors and agricultural machinery? We're looking for a reliable, motivated Yard Person to join our Cambridge team. This is a hands-on role that's essential to keeping our dealership looking its best and ensuring machinery is ready for customers.
About the role:
As our Yard Person, you'll be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe and well-presented yard while supporting our sales, parts and service teams. No two days are the same, and you'll play an important role in ensuring machinery is ready for delivery and display.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining the presentation and cleanliness of the yard and dealership grounds.
- Organising and positioning machinery in the yard and showroom.
- Loading and unloading machinery and equipment safely.
- General yard maintenance, including basic repairs and housekeeping.
- Supporting the workshop and other departments with day-to-day tasks.
- Ensuring health and safety standards are maintained at all times.
What you will have:
You'll be someone who:
- Enjoys physical, outdoor work.
- Takes pride in maintaining high standards.
- Is reliable, self-motivated and hardworking.
- Has a positive attitude and enjoys being part of a team.
- Can work safely and follow instructions.
- Has good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Holds a full New Zealand driver's licence and can drive a manual vehicle (forklift cert a bonus)
Experience with tractors, agricultural machinery or the rural sector would be beneficial but isn't essential—we're happy to train someone with the right attitude.
What we offer:
A supportive, family-owned business with a great team culture. Variety in your day and the opportunity to work with world-leading agricultural machinery. Competitive remuneration & benefits.
We will be assessing applications as they are received so we encourage you to apply promptly to avoid missing out on the opportunity.
